There are a number of commonly used standards and test methods for evaluating the abrasion properties of textiles.

The following are some of the common textile abrasion test standards:

Fabric pilling test

1. ASTM D4157 - This is a standard for evaluating the abrasion properties of textiles using a rotating plate tester.

2. ASTM D4966 - This is a standard for evaluating the abrasion properties of textiles using a sliding flatbed tester.

3. ASTM D3884 - This is a standard for evaluating the abrasion properties of fabrics and plastic films using a flat abrasion tester.

4. ISO 12947 - This is an international standard for the evaluation of the abrasion resistance of fabrics using a rotating flatbed tester.

5. ISO 20344 - This is an international standard for the evaluation of the abrasion resistance of footwear materials using a flat abrasion tester. 6.

6. AATCC 8 - This is an American Association of Textile Dyers and Finishers (AATCC) standard for evaluating the abrasion resistance of fabrics using a flat abrasion tester.

7. AATCC 119 - This is an American Association of Textile Dyers and Finishers (AATDF) Standard for the evaluation of the abrasion resistance of fabrics using a rotating flatbed tester.

8. JIS L 1096 - This is a Japanese Industrial Standard for the evaluation of the abrasion resistance of fabrics by means of rotating plate testers.

These standards cover different types and uses of textiles such as fabrics, plastic films and footwear materials. When selecting a test method, it is necessary to consider the specific properties and requirements of the test object and select the appropriate standard for the test.
