Xenon arc testing is a commonly used method to simulate the damaging effects of sunlight and weathering on materials. Several standards exist that outline the procedures and requirements for conducting xenon arc testing. Two widely recognized standards are:

1. ISO 4892: This standard, titled "Plastics -- Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources -- Part 2: Xenon-arc lamps," provides guidelines for performing xenon arc testing on plastics. It specifies the test conditions, specimen preparation, exposure parameters, and evaluation methods.

2. ASTM G155: This standard, titled "Standard Practice for Operating Xenon Arc Light Apparatus for Exposure of Non-Metallic Materials," is published by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). It provides guidance on the operation and performance of xenon arc light apparatus for exposing non-metallic materials to simulated weathering conditions.

Both ISO 4892 and ASTM G155 provide detailed instructions on test setup, sample preparation, exposure durations, and evaluation procedures for xenon arc testing. These standards ensure consistency and reliability in conducting xenon arc tests and provide a basis for comparing the weathering resistance of different materials.
