Testing fabrics for wear is an important step in ensuring their durability and quality. The following is a more common test for abrasion in fabric method to test the abrasion of the fabric:

Material preparation:
1. Test machine or wear tester: Select a test machine or wear tester as required. These devices are often available for purchase or rental from specialty equipment suppliers.
2. Abrasive material: According to the standard or need, select an abrasive material that matches the fabric to be tested. Commonly used abrasive materials include cotton cloth, sandpaper, or rayon materials.

step:
1. Trim the fabric into representative rectangular samples as needed, making sure the sample is large enough to fit in the testing machine and stay flat.
2. Prepare the test machine: Make appropriate settings according to the test equipment instructions. Make sure the device is calibrated and functioning properly.
3. Secure the fabric sample to the testing machine, making sure it is taut and stays flat.
4. Select the appropriate abrasive material according to the test requirements, and place it at the position in contact with the fabric. Ensures that the abrasive material makes good contact with the fabric and provides consistent abrasive force.
5. Start the test machine and start the wear test. The abrasive material will be moved back and forth over the fabric sample, simulating the wear and tear of everyday use.
6. Observe and record the results: During the test, closely observe the wear of the fabric sample, record the number of test cycles or time, and any obvious wear, changes in the worn parts, etc.
7. Evaluate Results: Evaluate the wear of the fabric sample against the endpoint criteria of the test (such as fabric damage, visible wear or color fading, etc.). Observe the sample for signs of fluff, pilling, breakage, or color change. Compare the results to established standards or specifications to assess the abrasion resistance of the fabric.

It should be noted that specific test procedures may vary depending on the test equipment and standards used. Therefore, it is important to follow any guidelines provided by the manufacturer or applicable industry standards when performing a fabric abrasion test. Also, for accurate and reproducible results, proper training is recommended prior to testing to ensure proper operation of the test equipment.
