Test Method: Uniaxial Stretch Test
1. Specimen Preparation:
- Select a representative fabric sample and determine the test direction (weft or warp) as required.

2. Equipment Setup:

3. Adjust the test parameters:
- Set the appropriate test speed and strain rate for the selected test method and standard. These parameters may vary from standard to standard and application to application.

- Common parameters include:
- Stress-Strain Curve: Plot the stress-strain curve of the specimen to observe the deformation behavior of the material.
- Fracture Strength: Records the maximum value of stress that the specimen is subjected to before it breaks.
- Elongation: Calculates the percentage elongation of a specimen at break relative to its initial length.
- Modulus of Elasticity: Calculates the stress-strain ratio of a specimen over a linear range.
This uniaxial tensile testing method can provide a quantitative assessment of some of the key indicators and characteristics of fabric stretch performance. However, it is worth noting that different test methods and standards may have different requirements and parameter settings. It is therefore recommended that the applicable test standards and guidelines be carefully studied and followed, and that specimen preparation and data analysis be carried out according to specific needs before testing is carried out.
