Xenon lamp aging tester automotive interior parts aging test precautions

Conducting xenon lamp aging test is a common method for evaluating the durability and color stability of automotive interior parts when exposed to sunlight and other environmental conditions.

 

 

1. To avoid reducing the instability of the test and to ensure the accuracy of the test, maintenance and calibration should be carried out on the machine and equipment according to the guidance of the machine and equipment manufacturer.

 

2. The test water must not be left on the test specimen alluvial deposits or stains. The water content of liquid particles in common water should not exceed 1ppm, and the water content of sio2 should not exceed 0.2ppm, and the measurement of the water content of sio2 should be referred to ASTM D859 or ASTM D4517, and the water with the specified purity can be obtained by applying the method of removing the positive ions and the solution of the method of reverse osmosis.

 

3. When carrying out testing of automobile parts and components, first turn off all the sprinkling equipment on the machine and equipment to avoid accidental self-spraying on the experimental test specimens.

 

4. When testing automotive interior parts, according to the installation of suitable filters, so that the xenon arc lamp spectrometer output power spread (SPD) in accordance with Annex D, Table D2 or D3.

 

5. When inspecting the exterior of the vehicle, the spectrometer output power spread (SPD) of the xenon arc lamp shall comply with the regulations according to the installation of suitable filters, and the typical spectrometer spread range shall be referred to Table D1 or D3 in Appendix D.
