The heel impact fatigue tester is used to test the ability of the high heel root of women's shoes to withstand repeated small impacts during normal human walking under test conditions. The heel is pointed upwards and the heel shaft is fixed upright on the fixed tray of the heel fatigue tester. The impact head of the pendulum impacts the heel vertically with a constant energy (0.68J) until it fails or reaches a satisfactory number of impacts.
