Analysis of Rainproof Grade Experiment of Rainproof Tester
2024/12/11
The rainproof tester is suitable for the impact resistance and water penetration performance of any textile that has been or has not been waterproof or water-repellent finished. It can simulate rainwater spraying horizontally onto the fabric to be tested fixed in a stainless steel tank to detect the water repellency of fabrics or composite materials under different rain pressures.
Applicable standards:
AATCC 35, BS EN ISO 22958, GB/T 23321
Main parameters:
1. Control: LCD color touchscreen panel;
2. Water column: 60~150cm ± 1.5cm (standard), 60~240cm ± 1.5cm (extended);
3. Sample rack: 285×190mm (305mm from nozzle);
4. Heater: 1000W;
5. Temperature control: room temperature ~ 40°C ± 0.8°C (without cooling device);
6. Water supply: tap water or distilled water;
7. Water reservoir: 40L.

Meaning of protection level:
0: No protection;
1: Drip-proof type, water drops falling vertically have no harmful effects;
2: Drip-proof type II, water drops falling within 15° from the vertical direction have no harmful effects;
3: Rainproof type, rainfall within 60 degrees from the vertical direction has no harmful effects;
4: Splash-proof type, no harmful effects from water splashing in any direction;
5: Jet-proof type, no harmful effects from water directly sprayed in any direction;
6: Water-resistant type, water directly sprayed in any direction will not enter the interior;
7: Immersion-proof type, water will not enter the interior even if immersed in water under specified conditions;
8: Submersible type, can still be used even if immersed in water of a certain pressure for a long time;
9: Moisture-proof type, can still be used in moisture with a relative humidity greater than 90%.
