How to use the T110 100-grid cross scratch tester?
2025/01/08
The T110 100-grid cross scratch tester is designed and manufactured according to the test standards such as PV3952 and PV3974 Volkswagen standards and is used to test the scratch resistance of automobile interior and exterior plastic parts.
As a modern technology enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing, sales, training, and services, Standard International Group (HK) Limited is committed to delivering more testing instruments to the market, providing testing instruments for textiles, leather, combustion, automotive interior and exterior trims, material environmental climate aging, etc., and non-standard customization is also acceptable. Targeted tests can be carried out according to customer requirements before purchase to ensure that the purchased instruments are applicable.
Test parameters:
1. Scratching path: 25 or 45mm
2. Scratching speed: 1m/min or 40mm/s
3. Test piece specifications: 80×50mm
4. Sample thickness: 0.5-20mm
5. Standard load range: 2-50N (2N increments)
6. Special load range: 1-10N (1N increments) (must be used with optional accessories)

Operation:
When the instrument is used, it is driven by two motors to control the length of the scratch and the distance between scratches. The movement process is: in the first stage test, the reciprocating platform moves once (half a circle), the cylinder lifts the scraping finger, the motor drives the scraping finger to move longitudinally a certain distance, the cylinder puts the scraping finger down, and then the reciprocating platform moves again (half a circle), the cylinder lifts the scraping finger, and the motor drives the scraping finger to move longitudinally a certain distance again, and so on. After the number of stripes is completed, the test plate is manually rotated 90 degrees, and the test is completed after the second stage test.
The Hundred Grid Cross Scratch Tester conducts strict wear resistance and scratch resistance tests on the car body paint. During the test, the equipment can accurately simulate the scratching conditions in actual use and scratch the car body paint uniformly and consistently. By comparing the test results of different batches of products, the company found that the paint surface of a batch of products had poor scratch resistance, and there were obvious shedding and cracking phenomena. In response to this problem, the company adjusted the production process promptly and strengthened the quality control of raw materials. After the improvement, the scratch resistance of the paint surface of the new batch of products has been significantly improved, meeting the needs and expectations of consumers.
