Bacterial Filtration Efficiency Tester Test Principle and Method

BFE Tester Test principle
A bacterial suspension with a certain concentration is prepared, and the aerosol with specific requirements is generated by an aerosol generator (the aerosol flow rate is 2200±500CFE, the average particle diameter should be 0.3 μ m, and the geometric standard deviation of the aerosol distribution should not exceed 1.5).
Then, the bacteria in the aerosol penetrating the sample are collected at a certain flow rate, and the bacteria filtration efficiency of the sample is calculated after culture.
Test preparation
Before testing, the samples should be pretreated in an environment of 21 5℃ and relative humidity of 85 5% for at least 4h.
Staphylococcus aureus A TCC65 38 was inoculated into a proper amount of trypsin soy broth and cultured at 37 2℃ for 24h. Then, the above culture was diluted to 5×105 CFU/ml with 1.5% peptone.
Mask BFE Tester Test step process:
1. Start the instrument and clean the air.
2. Install Staphylococcus aureus solution, start peristaltic pump, and supply the bacterial solution to the nozzle of sprayer.
3. Install the mask sample on route A, take route B as positive quality control, and install the plate into Anderson sampler.
4. Set the instrument parameters.
5. Take out the sampled plate, mark the layer number and place it in an incubator for cultivation, and count the positive hole count value of each layer of plate.
6. Results calculation, BFE= (average positive quality control-sum of experimental sample counts)/average positive quality control *100%
