1. Unique design, simple operation and application

The test sample is fixed on a horizontal sample stage and abraded as the sample is moved horizontally under specified abrasives and loads. The other end of the test arm is equipped with a weight to keep the test arm balanced to ensure the accuracy of the surface loading of the sample. The abrasive and load holders are height adjustable to suit the testing of samples of different heights. Parameters such as stroke, speed and load can be adjusted.

2. A variety of additional configurations are available to meet more test requirements

The test arm uses the principle of a lever to adjust the load on the surface of the sample with a weight at one end to ensure the reliability of the experimental results. The Taber 5900 Reciprocating Abraser is used to evaluate materials for abrasion, scratch and rub resistance and other physical property tests. Special accessories are available to meet the test method of GMW14125, which uses different friction media to test the abrasion resistance of textiles.

 

3. Special test arm kit
